Q: What is the minimum age requirement to work in a WinCo Foods store?

A: Age requirements may vary depending on state laws and job duties. We have many exciting opportunities for applicants that are 16 years or older. Please review the job posting for any age limitations as some jobs require minimum age to be 18 or 21 years old. It can be found near the bottom under “Requirements.” Some jobs may have additional restrictions to ensure the safety of our employee owners or to comply with state and federal restrictions. Any age limitations for a specific job can be reviewed in the job posting.

Q: Is a background check required as part of my WinCo Foods application?

A: All job offers are contingent upon the successful completion of our employment screening process, which includes a background check. The background check is initiated after you have accepted your conditional job offer and is managed by our vendor, HireRight. Once you have received a contingent offer, if you have questions about the results of your background check, contact HireRight directly at 866-521-6995.

Q: I worked at WinCo previously, am I eligible for rehire?

A: You are welcome to apply at any time, and your application will be considered for the position for which you apply. The most qualified applicants will be selected.  Applications by employees who were previously terminated from employment at WinCo will be evaluated pursuant to the circumstances of the termination, company policies, and applicable laws.
